DoubleTake Sports is proud to have produced the recent Wallaroos v Black Ferns Test Match at Dolphins Stadium in Redcliffe on the 29th of June.

The only game that the Wallaroos will play on home soil this year featured DoubleTake Sports’ most advanced and comprehensive coverage of any broadcast to date for those who couldn’t be part of the crowd on the night – the biggest ever for a Women’s Rugby Test Match in Australia.

In a landmark moment for our company, which was founded in 2009 with a single operator filming single camera rugby games at suburban sports grounds, this broadcast featured 1 cameras, and was produced remotely from our studio in Coorparoo, while being broadcast free-to-air nationally on 9Go!, and globally through numerous international rights holders.

Founder, and Managing Director Robert Matthews commented:

“This broadcast has been months in the making, and is a testament to the dedication, enthusiasm, and creativity of our incredible team. It marks a special moment for our team, as our first delivery to free-to-air – a major frontier and a testament to our work and the confidence of our partners. It was exciting to facilitate such a high-level broadcast, featuring a live drone, cine camera, lengthy pre-game coverage including an expert sideline panel, and most importantly, being able to cover the Wallaroos’ biggest home ground attendance ever.

Pulling something off at this scale would not have been possible without the incredible support and trust provided to us by our partners at Rugby Australia, Nine, and World Rugby, we extend our sincerest thanks to them and look forward to working with them again in the near future.”

The Wallaroos v Black Ferns Test Match was broadcast in Australia on Nine and Stan Sport, and in global markets including New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, and Canada.
