Down Under Championship Takes Coverage to the Next Level

Key Points:

  • DoubleTake Sports provides host broadcast services for Down Under Championship
  • Broadcast featured 15+ cameras, with production facilitated remotely.
  • The most comprehensive coverage of this event to date.

Earlier this month, we were proud to provide host broadcast services for the multi-day Down Under Championship in Wollongong.

In the second year of our coverage of this event, we were proud to double down on our 2022 offering, providing expanded production, and more comprehensive coverage than ever before. This year’s coverage featured 15+ cameras, including multiple drones, rig cameras, beauty cameras and a cine camera, all across multiple days and locations including WIN Stadium and WIN Entertainment Centre.

Like last year’s coverage, this year saw all production based remotely out of our Hub in Brisbane (QLD), while commentary was facilitated onsite in Wollongong (NSW).

Thanks to our exclusive remote production workflows, a maximum of 8 crew were needed onsite at any one time. This provided significant savings in travel and accommodation for our client, while also minimising our carbon footprint. This workflow also allowed production to remain live and broadcasting for a combined 31 hours across the 3-day competition.

We look forward to working with the Down Under Championship again in 2024.
